Working together

Finding an approach that fits you.

Therapy that fits you, not the other way around

No two people arrive in therapy with the same story, so I don't believe there is one way therapy should look.

Some people need space to talk. Others find it helpful to slow things down, notice what's happening in their body, or use images and creative materials to explore experiences that are difficult to put into words.

Together we'll find an approach that feels right for you. My role isn't to tell you who you are, but to help you understand yourself more clearly so that you have greater choice in how you live.

How we might work together

Most people begin with weekly 60-minute sessions, either in person at my Central London studio or online.

Therapy may be short-term and focused around a particular issue, or longer-term if you're looking to understand longstanding patterns, relationships or ways of being that have developed over many years.

Some sessions are simply conversations. Others may include Internal Family Systems (IFS), imagery, creative exploration or practical exercises. There is never an expectation to use creative materials—they're simply another way of thinking when words don't seem enough.

The way we work develops together as therapy unfolds.

What brings people to therapy?

People contact me for many different reasons.

Some are feeling anxious, overwhelmed or burnt out. Others are struggling with relationships, grief, addiction, trauma, low self-esteem or major life changes.

Many don't arrive with a clear problem at all. They simply know that something isn't working anymore and want to understand why.

Whatever brings you here, therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, notice patterns and begin responding to yourself and your life in a different way.

Life Story Work

Sometimes it isn't one event that needs attention, but the story of a whole life.

Life Story Work is a way of stepping back and looking at the experiences, relationships and turning points that have shaped who you are today. Together we explore the patterns that run through your life—not to dwell in the past, but to better understand how it continues to influence the present.

We might work with conversation, timelines, photographs, objects, family history, drawing or imagery, depending on what feels most useful.

Many people describe this work as helping them see their life with greater clarity, compassion and perspective.

Therapy Intensives

Some pieces of therapeutic work benefit from having more time.

Rather than stopping just as something important begins to emerge, longer sessions allow us to stay with the work, notice deeper patterns and explore them without feeling rushed.

I offer therapy intensives of two to four hours by arrangement. These are particularly helpful for Life Story Work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), creative psychotherapy and significant periods of transition.

Selected Saturday appointments are available for this work.

Finding the right therapist

Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step.

If you're unsure whether we're the right fit, I offer an initial chemistry session. It's an opportunity to talk about what's bringing you to therapy, ask any questions you may have and get a sense of how it feels to work together before making any commitment.
