Clients I work with and types of therapy offered

I work with a wide range of clients with very different needs

Individuals
Many of my clients have long-standing, deeply-rooted conditions, like trauma or depression, for which they may have already received a particular form of therapy, and would like to try a different approach.

Others come with a particular problem that’s recently arisen, looking for a quick breakthrough. One session with me may be all it takes to see the problem differently.

Groups
I am able to bring groups together who benefit from sharing their issues and experiences as well as the experience of making art together. I also offer bespoke group work using the arts. This can be focused around a specific topic or issue, or be more open and non-directive.

In-company residencies
If your organisation is looking for a resident therapist, I offer an ‘open room’ option for a full or half-day as part of your mental health provision for employees. I also work with teams within organisations to explore ways in which they can work more creatively and collaboratively.

Being trained as an art therapist, I am able to incorporate a wide range of creative interventions and may introduce art materials when I think it could be helpful. These interventions can include working with clay or a sand tray, as well as more traditional art materials. I believe that art-making can facilitate powerful, life-changing experiences.

I am happy to answer any questions you have before booking an initial consultation. If you decide to proceed, I offer an assessment session to get an initial overview of different areas of your life, your current concerns, and your hopes for therapy.

Therapy options

  • Weekly therapy is for 50 minutes either in person or via Zoom for as long as you need. Your slot will be reserved for you each week on the same day, at the same time.

I can offer twice weekly sessions when needed as well as longer sessions if a particular issue needs more than 50 minutes.

  • This is a good option where there is a specific issue that you need help with. You can have one or a few sessions each lasting 50 minutes, and you can extend the number of sessions if required.

  • Working outside in a local park or urban space for a 50-minute session can be very effective for the therapeutic process, using the environment and objects around us to stimulate feelings and deeper conversation. This can be incorporated into 1-2-1 or short-term work if needed, or you may love it so much you decide to have all your therapy outdoors.

  • 90 or 120-minute group work for 4 to 12 people centred around art activities. Sessions can be structured or unstructured depending on the need and environment. I can also provide full-day or weekend group sessions.

  • I can be your organisation’s resident therapist on-site for a half or full day as part of your mental health provision. Individuals can reserve slots, or the door remains open for employees to drop in to work through a particular issue.

Costs

My fees start at £95 per session for 1-2-1 work. I also offer a few low-cost places for people with limited resources, but there is often a waiting list for these. Please don’t let cost put you off – I recognise the financial struggles many people are experiencing now, so do get in touch and we can discuss your options if you feel I could be the right therapist for you.
